Tax law is public. Getting a straight answer from it usually isn't.
TaxHeed exists to close that gap, turning a plain-language question into a cited, law-backed answer in seconds, for the freelancers, small businesses, and accounting practices who ask the same kind of question every week.
A simple question, an expensive answer
“Can I deduct this?” is one of the most common questions a freelancer or small business owner asks, and one of the slowest to get answered. It usually means a message to an accountant, a day or two of waiting, and sometimes a bill for a five-minute answer. Multiply that across thousands of small, everyday expense decisions, and the cost isn't just time. It's businesses guessing, or not claiming deductions they're entitled to.
Put the law behind the answer, not just an opinion
Generic AI chatbots can guess at tax questions, but a guess isn't good enough when money and compliance are on the line. TaxHeed was built around a different idea: every answer should point to the specific article of tax law it comes from, for example the relevant TUIR article for an Italian filer, so you can see exactly why an expense is or isn't deductible, not just take our word for it.
Built for one country first, designed for the EU
We're starting with the depth of coverage that lets us cite law precisely, and expanding country by country across the EU from there. The goal isn't to replace your accountant. It's to give you and your accountant a faster, cited starting point, so the time you do spend together goes toward judgment calls, not lookups.
What we optimize for
Every answer names the law behind it. If we're not confident, we say so, with a confidence score, not false certainty.
A deductibility question shouldn't sit in an inbox. You get an answer while you're still looking at the receipt.
We're not trying to replace the accountant relationship. We're trying to make it faster and better documented.
Financial documents are sensitive. We built TaxHeed with encryption and GDPR compliance as defaults, not add-ons.
Tax law differs by country. We're building the coverage to match, not bolting on translations after the fact.
AI can be wrong. When a question sits in a gray area, we flag it for professional review instead of pretending certainty.
